Tasting Notes

The 2016 Semillon Sauvignon Blanc opens to reveal beautiful aromas of pear and passionfruit.

The palate delivery is clean and crisp; think lime, citrus and melon. A level of complexity has been added through wild fermentation which gives off subtle flinty characteristics. After fermentation, the wine is blended to release those fresh fruit characters synonymous with Sem Sav Blanc's.

94 Points James Halliday , Wine Companion

“A small percentage of the wine was wild-fermented in stainless steel barrels, a technique used more in Margaret River than most other regions, but even there not widespread. This is a delectably juicy wine with passionfruit, nectarine and a flash of minerality, the last conceivably from the barrel ferment component. Whatever, ... it all works very well.
