“We have a commitment to produce wines which reflect our love for the land and a passion for excellence.”

Robert Magdziarz

Warramunda Estate

Nestled in Victoria’s Yarra Valley, Warramunda Estate is a property steeped in a rich history. Originally a sheep and cattle stud it later became a vineyard – cultivated to produce high-quality fruit for an array of wineries, including Yering Station. In 2007, the Magdziarz family acquired the property and have since established Warramunda Estate as a premium brand in its own right.

Over its fifty-five acres of vineyards, the vineyard produces a range of varietals including Marsanne, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Viognier. These grapes are treated with the finest winemaking techniques to create wines expressing their varietal characteristics as well as the Yarra Valley’s unique terroir.

The wines are a product of exceptional fruit, grown exclusively on the home-estate with only the best of each varietal selected for bottling.

Since its first vintage in 2013, Warramunda Estate has been producing standout cool-climate wines. The wines are accessible but also offer the more erudite connoisseur an exceptional taste sensation; something to experience and savour.

Winemaker - Ben Haines

Warramunda Estate Winemaker, Ben Haines, was attracted to the vine from an early age.

Growing up in country Victoria, he would meander amongst the vines on his way to school, sampling the produce along the way. Ben’s childhood fascinations ultimately matured into a burgeoning winemaking career.

Following his graduation from the University of Adelaide in 1999, with a degree in Viticulture, he honed his skills – gaining work experience across Australia (including the Yarra Valley, McLaren Vale, Adelaide Hills, Langhorne Creek and Tasmania) and abroad (in the US and France).

In 2008, Ben was named the Wine Society's 'Young Winemaker of the Year'. He has since forged a reputation as a highly skilled and passionate winemaker.

Ben’s philosophy – to produce wines that truly reflect 'place' and 'terroir' – is a perfect match for Warramunda’s diverse varietals.
