Meet the Driver: John Murphy

John Murphy, our resident John Murphy, will be introduced in this month’s ‘Meet the Driver.’

John, AKA Spud, grew up in a family of wine lovers. His father worked for a company that developed the Stelvin screw cap and bag used for box packaging as well as Vinofill’s bottling system. John’s father was a winemaker, so it’s no surprise that he developed a love for Australia’s rich history of viticulture.

John has worked in theatre restaurants and tourism businesses and held various positions in Australian tourism associations.

John began his involvement with the Australian Wine Tour Company in 2008. He accompanied our wine-loving clients on tours through the Yarra Valley. John’s friendly smile was first seen on our tour bus after the Black Saturday Fires in 2009.

John, our driver of choice, is a fascinating character. See the rest of John’s interview below!
