Tasting Notes

Used almost exclusively in the crafting of Champagne, this red wine has a lighter-bodied style. Much like a Pinot Noir, this wine proves its strength through nuance and subtlety.

Hungerford Hill produce a Pinot Meunier with fruits sourced from the foothills of the cool-climate Tumbarumba wine region. On the palate is a soft, savoury texture with flavours of Morello Cherry and red fruits. A must in every cellar.

“Pinot Meunier from the Tumbarumba region. It was likely planted for sparkling but it makes very good table wine, as it turns out. It’s meaty and cranberried, red cherried and flushed with sweet woodsmoke. It’s pretty, it’s spicy, it creates an impression of depth while all-the-while remaining frisky. Steady tannin pl ... ays an important role too. Most importantly, it’s a lovely drink. Show more Show less
