Tasting Notes

The 2014 Lethbridge Nebbiolo is sophisticated and complex: a lovely nod to its old-world heritage.

The dusty, peppery nose gives way to a medium-bodied palate of dried herbs, spice and sour cherry. Thanks to being aged for 18 months in large format oak, this Nebbiolo finishes with sweet tannins.

This wine is a fine example of the premium styles developed at Lethbridge.

94 Points Ned Goodwin , Wine Companion

“Nebbiolo shows great promise in the Pyrenees and this wine attests to that bright future. The cliches ring true with scents of dried flowers, orange rind, sour cherry, wood smoke, twig and sandalwood, segueing to a brisk, mid-weighted palate etched with nebbiolo's mosaic of spider web tannins and febrile acidity. This is very ... good. Show more Show less
