“We the fruit from a long-time friend of David Hohnen. It’s one of the oldest Tempranillo plantings in the Margaret River. This wine never sees oak its one hundred percent fermented in concrete and that’s why it’s a really luscious and unadulterated wine. ”

Tasting Notes

This striking Margaret River red is called ‘Tiger Country" for a reason. While the region is known for its tiger snakes, the term also applies to the wine’s powerful design.

A flair of flavours on the nose – cherry cola, sarsaparilla and ripe black plum – lure the senses to receive the ample dark fruits, red strap liquorice and dusty tannins. A bold wine for those willing to explore its power.

94 Points James Halliday , Wine Companion

“A 61/24/15% blend of tempranillo, petit verdot and graciano from three estate vineyards, separately vinified, cold soaked with partial wild yeast ferment of 85% destemmed/15% whole bunches, foot-stomped, hand-plunged, basket-pressed, matured for 14 months in French oak (10% new). Bright crimson; the bouquet is super-fragrant, ... with predominantly red cherry and some blueberry fruits, the palate upping the game with purple (plum), licorice and strongly textured tannins.
