Tasting Notes

This is the first vintage of the ‘Macedon Ranges Pinot Noir’ and the team at Hanging Rock are so happy with the results. This quality Pinot was crafted from fruits sourced across the winery’s ‘Jim Jim’ vineyard. Heralding from one of Australia’s coldest cool-climate wine regions this Pinot exhibits notes of cedar and cloves on the nose followed by a complex palate of poached plum and cherry with a kick of spice.

92 Points Campbell Mattinson , Wine Companion

“A sturdy rendition of the variety but it's fragrant, pretty even, with pepper and dry spice characters helping to form a complex impression. Plenty of weight here; if well stored it will hold in the bottle over quite some years. ”
