“Has more immediate fruit than its Oakey Creek sibling, although I have to admit I had forgotten tasting The Remparts previously. Lemon zest, pith and juice flavours ride on a framework of slippery, rubbery (tension, not flavour) acidity.”

Greenstone Vineyards 2012 Yarra Valley Methode Traditionelle Sparkling

This sparkling is a beautiful blend of Pinot Noir (53%) and Chardonnay (47%). The fruit was sourced from three different vineyard blocks, each harvest...ed to optimise fruit and acid balance. The palate delivers welcoming crunchy apple, citrus and oyster shell.

In keeping with traditional production methods, this wine was aged for an extended period on lees – 48 months – which adds power to the flavour and creates a creamy, fine, mousse-like finish.

Delatite 2016 Estate Riesling

One of Delatite’s principal varietals, the Estate Riesling is crafted in the quintessential Australian style. 20% of the vintage is placed in old Fr...ench oak puncheons to integrate added texture – giving the wine added depth. Eden Road 2015 Courabyra Pinot Noir

This is Pinot Noir that combines beautiful, focused fruit with exceptional value. Sourcing the fruit from a single vineyard gives clarity to the of dark cherry and peppery spice on the nose as well as the textured palate of fresh dark cherries, red berries and pencilly oak. Closer to a fine French Burgundy than a typical Australian Pinot Noir. read more show less

This bright, pale straw-coloured chardonnay opens with a balance of fruit and savoury aromas. Fresh lime, nectarine and peach work harmoniously with t...he subtly roasted hazelnut and flinty aromas of the French oak barrel fermentation.

This elegant combination of aromas is greeted by Stella Bella’s signature spring water, mineral acidity. This wine is perfectly balanced with a lovely texture. It is delicious now or for years to come.

Flametree 2016 Margaret River Shiraz

The most recent vintage of the Flametree Shiraz stands out from previous years thanks to Cliff Royle’s team and their thirst for perfecting their wi...nes.

The addition of dried stems, whole bunches and whole berries results in a Shiraz higher in complexity and perfume. More of a medium-bodied red compared to other years. A strong perfumed nose, the Flametree Shiraz brings a palate of cherry, plum and liquorice. A strong and generous wine.

“It’s an elegant wine, well-ripened, floral and perfumed, and gently sinewy. Margaret River almost never makes ‘big’ or heavy shiraz but this is ever-so-slightly lighter than the norm, though the complexity levels have been elevated as compensation. I like it. It’s not ready to drink right now, it needs a couple of years to start showing itself properly; it begs for a touch of age to creep in. Some faces just look better with a crease or two. Balance of fruit-oak-acid-tannin here is impeccable, as is the flourish to the finish. It’s a squeaky clean wine, but an interesting one. Admirable. With a future. ”
