Tasting Notes

Lethbridge Wines are a boutique winery located in the Moorabool Valley, a sub region of The Geelong wine region, where they create sophisticated savoury wines in one of Australia's unique maritime cool climate regions.

In this dozen mixed case, you receive three bottles of the Lethbridge Pinot Gris - floral nose with pear, orange blossom and citrus that translate straight onto the palate alongside honey, almond and toastiness - and the Lethbridge Chardonnay - intense flavours of citrus, hazelnut, and gun flint with a creamy texture on the palate.

Lethbridge Wines 2016 Chardonnay

Citrus and delicious spicy oak notes are front and centre with Lethbridge’s 2016 Chardonnay.

Thanks to fermentation in 100% new Frenc...h Oak barrels, the complex palate delivers intense citrus flavours that are joined by hints of hazelnut and gunflint. This wine has a creamy texture on the palate, a firm structure and hints of minerality. read more show less

94 Points Gary Walsh , The Wine Front

“Similar to the Ooh La La, though different. House style, but another vineyard, and a little more oak. Menthol, honey and white flowers, cream, spiced apple and peach. Medium bodied, cool core of acidity through a silky palate featuring some toasted savoury oak, apple pie with spiced crust, and a juicy ruby red grapefruit rebound on the long finish. Weighty, but sensible and balanced. It’s very good.”

93 Points Ned Goodwin , Wine Companion

“Lethbridge's wines brim with flavour and textural detail. In this case, peach and nectarine flavours are nourished by truffle, hints of butterscotch and almond croissant, all given some tension by handy lees work.”

95 Points Huon Hooke , The Real Review

““Medium copper colour, very gris. The bouquet is fragrant and lifted with lots if spice and talcum powder, and some nutty barrel-derived complexity. The wine is light and fresh in the mouth, zesty with good acidity and fruit intensity, lively and firm.”

95 Points Jane Faulkner , Halliday Wine Companion

“"What a terrific pinot gris, with its pale copper hue and crunchy fresh and poached pears flecked with powdered ginger, vanilla and cardamom. Loads of creamy texture and lemon curd, but sprightly acidity keeps it buoyant given its complexity and depth."”
